The project involved design review and development of detailed design works in all architectural, civil, electrical and mechanical disciplines for the State Mosque in Aqaba. The Owner is Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).
The complex involved full remodeling of the grand praying hall and its courtyard, landscape, annexes and housing for the imam and the servant …plus the landscape of the surrounding public park and site development that involved the whole complex.

The work included the following: renovation of all external facades, replacement of all windows and doors, rebuilding the dome and minaret, redesign of all decoration works; wooden works, arabesque, GRC cladding works, patterned marble works, stone cladding for some facades, fences, landscaping, complete lighting, sound system and air-conditioning.

Not only this complex has become the largest Islamic cultural complex in Aqaba, but also the most impressive and richly detailed one, that invites all touristic attractions as well.
The main challenge of this project was to develop the design and to elevate quality of detailing within the same prices of the contract.
