This project was co-financed by the Jordanian Government and the KfW.

26 Schools distributed all over the Kingdom with advanced school design concepts. The total area of schools was 75000 sq.m. The work was carried out in a joint venture with BGS; an international German consultant.

The project presents a new concept of school design in Jordan applying the idea of ’kit - of - parts’ instead of the outdated ‘prototype’ concept that was followed for decades.

The new concept is sensitive to the local environment for each school site without losing the economic advantages of using similar design elements for classrooms, administration, library...etc. The school would be designed of the same elements with different compositions.

School Sketches

Principles of green architecture were applied, i.e. using grey water, complete thermal insulation systems,  using passive climatic devices and elements such as louvers and sun breakers, water conservative landscape...etc.
